Special Guest Wayne Horsburgh

Wayne Horsburgh, an international Australian country music star is performing again at Kentucky Down Under during Hart and Barren County Days. Born and raised in the Victorian countryside near Benalla, Australia, Wayne started singing at a young age, forming his own dance band at age 11. One of his early musical influences was Slim Whitman, hence the love for yodeling – a talent he is known for and a real crowd pleaser at his shows.

Wayne’s career has taken him all over the world and he has shared the stage with performers like Emmylou Harris, The Oak Ridge Boys, Freddy Fender, Ricky Van Shelton, Sammy Kershaw, Lorrie Morgan and Toby Keith, just to name a few. Wayne has recorded 16 albums during his recording career, the latest CD’s being “Land Of Enchantment” and “Memories & Guitar Strings”. His numerous awards and achievements have made him one of the busiest and most respected entertainers in Australian Country Music.

Kentucky Down Under is a fun, interactive and educational Australian Animal Park with a beautifully decorated cave. It is located at Exit 58/Horse Cave, off I-65. Kentucky Down Under differs from the usual zoo by providing hands-on experiences with exotic Australian animals as well as several educational programs daily.

During 2006 Season, each month has a special theme and a highlighted area. The theme for the month of June is The Weird Mob and the highlighted area is The Outback. The best way to find out what is going on at Kentucky Down Under, is to visit the new www.kdu.com
